New Delhi:

A Haryana coach has been arrested for sexually abusing his disciple. The 19-year-old player, who represented Haryana in the West Bengal Classic Boxing Championship, was sexually harassed by the coach who accompanied her. This coach was with the team in the championship. In this case, a case has been registered against the coach under Section 354A/376 of the IPC after the 19-year-old player lodged a complaint at New Delhi Railway Station on March 13.

In his complaint, this 19-year-old player has alleged that he and his companions had left from New Delhi to Kolkata on February 27 by Duronto Express. He had gone to represent the Haryana team in the tournament. Meanwhile, the coach of the team, Sandeep Malik sexually harassed her on the train and during her stay in Kolkata. The name of the female player has not been revealed.

This woman player reiterated her allegations while recording her statement, after which 28-year-old coach Sandeep was arrested from Sonipat in Haryana on 16 March. According to the information, during the interrogation, the coach has admitted to sexual harassment. Sandeep runs a boxing academy in Sonipat and has also represented India in boxing. Koch is married and has two children.
