"Downshifted like a complete moron" - Ryan Blaney blames 'bonehead move' after spinning out at NASCAR Homestead-Miami race

For the second straight run, Ryan Blaney was unable to fight for the much-needed Cup Series win due to his unforced errors on the track. 

During a post-race interview, the #12 Ford driver explicitly criticized himself for running out of reach after finishing

 17th last Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway, giving him a potential top-10 spot. Got it.

However, Blaney demonstrated speed during the race and earned points in the first two stages by passing ninth in Stage 1 and fourth in Stage 2.

 The mistake occurred on lap 211 when the All-Star Race winner pitched for four new tires and fuel, 

but out of caution he passed out while driving down a pit road. 

Blaney was racing in the top five before driving his #12 Ford onto the pit road under the green.

Speaking to the media during a post-race interview, the disappointment was clearly visible 

on Blaney's face as his mistake led to his downfall over the past two weeks. he said:

“Well down like a complete fool. It's just frustrating, mainly the last two weeks,

and have a bone gait like this week. 12 groups worth it No. I am disappointed in myself and cannot do that. It is quite unacceptable."
